Day 1: Arrival to Kilimanjaro Airport
Arrive anytime at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). We will arrange a private transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha at Mvuli Hotel, which is beautifully located on the foot of Mount Meru and is a perfect place to prepare for your adventure. The rest of the day is at leisure or suggest a city tour activity.
Upon arriving to the hotel, we will gather in for a pre-safari briefing and an equipment check.
We will also confirm you have the appropriate mandatory medical coverage and travel insurance.

Day 2: Bird watching and Walking Safari in Arusha National Park
Morning picks up from your hotel in Arusha for a full day walking safari in Arusha National Park.
The Park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Hollywood chose this region to film the movie “Hatari” in which Hardy Kruger starred alongside the legendary John Wayne. Your day trip will include a visit to the Ngurdo Crater. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, and baboons can be seen all year round as well as many different bird species. At the Momella Gate, an armed ranger will be waiting to accompany you on walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close. Only few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed. Lunch will be taken at a picnic place and in the afternoon, you will continue in the safari vehicle through the Arusha National Park, for plenty of game drive.

Day 3: Bird Watching and Walking Safari at Mkomazi National Park
Morning pick-up from your hotel and departs to Mkomazi National Park with picnic lunch, arive in time for a full day game viewing. Game drives, walking safaris, mountain hikes, and bird watching can be done in this beautiful national park.
After finalizing with registrations you will enter the park and start the game drive and walking safari with an armed park ranger, Mkomazi is outstanding for East Africa birds watching site.

Day 4: Bird watching in Mkomazi National Park to Lushoto
After breakfast drive, you’ll go for a half day of bird watching and game viewing taking a packed lunch to maximize your time. Most of the animals that you’ll see are endangered species, particularly the black rhinos, wild dogs, along with several bird species. After an exciting time of wildlife viewing, you’ll drive to Lushoto for the overnight stay.

Day 5: Bird Watching and Trekking to Usambara Mountains
After breakfast walk to Vuga Peak where Mombo and Korogwe towns can be seen.
The walk takes about 4-5 hours. The tour on Montane Forest, a high chance to see most colorful forest bird species, reptiles (like chameleons), butterflies, black and white colobus monkey, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and forest flowers. Lunch will be provided on the way during lunchtime. On the way visit the village close to Vuga peak. On arrival to the lodge, you can take a short walk for bird watching or to the waterfalls.

Day 6: Birds Watching to Usambara Mountains
After breakfast, walk and tour the Usambara Mountain forests. This is a great opportunity to see several forest bird species, reptiles, butterflies, black and white colobus monkeys, and many more features. A picnic lunch is provided on the way.
Lushoto to Water Falls, Irente View Point & Magamba Rainforest. Irente Biodiversity Reserve From lushoto, hike to to this outlook for spectacular views of the village of Mazinde and the Maasai plains, almost 1000 mtrs below. Eat lunch at the irente Biodiversity reserve/farm in their beautiful flower garden. Combined Trip to Magamba and Irente Viewpoint (Fully Day) For shorter stays in the area, we recommend a combination hike to the irente viewpoint and Magamba Rainforest, where you can see colobus monkeys.

Day 7: Bird Watching and Trekking to Usambara Mountains
After breakfast, you’ll depart from Lushoto to Mtae (the world viewpoint) trek through the forests, villages, and farmland. You’ll visit local communities and experience the traditional life of the Sambaa people.
Enjoy both birds’ life and have to time to be involved in some of the activities conducted within the villagers around the areas.
Later drive to the Swahili coastal area famous as Tanga.

Day 8 Tanga to Arusha town
After Beakfast at 08:00 we will have a chance to do a half day City Tour. Things to do at Tanga Destination are Beach moment, Tanga Museums, Historical sites of Tanga Main Market called Tangamano and City Tours including several parts of Tanga Fish Market.
Later afternoon drive back to Arusha.

Day 9: Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport
Today after breakfast you have a leisure stay at the hotel depending on your flight schedule before later being transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for a departure back home or your next destinations.
